The Pwned Passwords API now handles 1.26 billion searches monthly (nearly 7,000 per second on average), helping organizations prevent account takeovers by blocking compromised passwords. The passwords originated from open web sources, Tor marketplaces, Telegram channels, and infostealer malware.
